Nissan Partnerships - How Nissan is Helping | Capital Nissan

Here at Capital Nissan, we stand behind Nissan and the methods they use their stage for a better world. Nissan is not just committed to building a better planet but has partnered with those with the same intent. These partnerships are positively making a difference and provide us yet another reason to completely stand in support of Nissan. We are Nissan people here at Capital Nissan in Wilmington, NC. Let us give you a few partnerships that Nissan has joined with that show you why:

Nissan has partnered with Habitat for Humanity. Habitat for Humanity has been responsible for taking it upon themselves to construct affordable housing in neighborhoods across the country. Together, Nissan and Habitat for Humanity are aiming to leave the country a better place than they found it. Over the last 12 years, Nissan and Habitat for Humanity have been partnered together, they have seen more than 14 million dollars in donations, constructed 78 homes (and counting), provided 143 Nissan vehicles, and assisted 569 families. Not only that, but Nissan employees from across the nation are also taking this partnership sincerely. 6,000 Nissan employees have volunteered to work beside Nissan and Habitat for Humanity and have amassed a huge total of 86,000 volunteer hours for providing affordable housing to those in need. Nissan is a group that cares not only from the top but from within.

Nissan has partnered with the Heisman Trust. No, not only because those at Nissan are sports enthusiasts. The Heisman Trust is influencing communities and has a commitment to not only support amateur athletics but also to present greater opportunities for America’s underserved youth. The amount of American children that don’t have access to otherwise normal circumstances is unbelievable. Nissan and the Heisman Trust are there to assist in remedying that problem. The Heisman Trust hopes that the Heisman Trophy would come to signify a healthy sense of community responsibility to the nation’s youth, particularly those with specialized needs. Nissan and the Heisman Trust know that it really does take a village to raise up a child.

You see, Nissan is a company that takes pride in serving not only the neighborhoods of America but those beyond our nation's borders. Nissan cherishes and celebrates America’s vibrant cultural diversity, and craves to see it flourish more every day. This is why, in 1992, Nissan founded the Nissan Foundation - with a purpose of “building community through valuing cultural diversity”. Through humanitarian efforts, generous donations, and other corporate outreach sponsorships, Nissan intends on caring for the community and paying it forward. Over the last 26 years, the Nissan Foundation has granted more than $10 million dollars to approximately 120 organizations who value and admire culture and promote understanding of both culture and ethnic groups.
