2019 Nissan Leaf Performance

The 2019 Nissan Leaf is an electric vehicle that boasts a smooth and quick acceleration and a quiet drive that makes driving on any road a peaceful experience. Its compact and sturdy look combined with a powerful engine gives it a unique appeal, making it an ideal electric vehicle that does not compromise on design or performance.

More powerful than ever
For 2019, Nissan has equipped the vehicle with a larger battery pack as well as a more powerful electric motor. Being an electric hatchback with a compact design, there are three trim levels available – the S, SV, and SL. All trim levels can deliver up to 150 miles of range when the 40-kWh battery is fully charged. This is pretty impressive, especially when you factor in that it takes about 7.5 hours to fully charge your car when you use a 220-volt charging station. However, charging can take up to 35 hours when you use a household-style 110-volt outlet.

The lowest level, S, has the required features of an electric vehicle. It is quite functional and practical. If you want faster recharging, you can opt for the Charge package. With a 110-kW electric motor that delivers 147 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque, the base trim level does not shy away from delivering a strong and consistent performance. The SV trim level comes equipped with the Charge package, 17-inch alloy wheels, NissanConnect, adaptive cruise control, foglights, a 7-inch touchscreen, navigation, and many more features.

Buyers can opt for the Technology package for the S and SV trim levels, which come with a blind-spot monitor with cross-traffic alert, LED headlights, auto-dimming rearview mirror, power-adjustable driver’s seat, ProPilot Assist suite of driving aids, and more. An optional All-Weather package is also available. The SL trim level has all the features of the All Weather package as well as the Technology package with the exception of the ProPilot Assist.

The 2019 Nissan Leaf is a vehicle with brisk acceleration, smooth brakes that are easy to engage with, and smooth and intuitive steering. It is also incredibly easy to drive whether down the street or on the highway.
